Meet and Greet: Who am I exactly?
I'm Guy Thomas, I'm a part-time free lance web developer interested in helping out local businesses with their web publishing. I started down this path a long long time ago...

Technically, it all started back in 1990. When I wasn't doing the running man to MC Hammer I was learning graphic design and programming on my Amiga 500. The love of technology had taken root and I was determined to make it blossom. I started doing web design when I was 16 and I took every computer class offered at Apple Valley High School.
In 1998 I joined the United States Air Force and became a Space Systems Maintenance Technician. I operated and maintained Satellite Tracking Stations around the world, and made sure those sneaky Russians didn't try anything (yes, the cold war was over). In my off time I started building websites professionally. After a little over four years I came back to California with a great job offer in hand. Working with NASA.

In 2002 NASA's JPL was ramping up for some exciting Deep Space Missions. I was hired to make sure the Satellite Tracking Stations here on Earth were ready for the Mars Rovers. We landed both rovers successfully, and I began down the road to marriage with my wife Heather. In 2005 I was ready to move back up to the desert, but we were in the middle of the housing boom! I was ready to start my family, but first I had to figure out how to afford a house to live in. So a short detour was made..

In 2005 I left for Iraq. I contracted with the United States Army, first doing satellite communications and then later doing video teleconferencing for General Petraeus at the Embassy in downtown Baghdad. After dodging a ton of rockets and mortars my wife told me it was time to come home and start a family. I obliged and that brings us to present day.

I'm back working with NASA again, but this time out at Edwards AFB. I'm a Field Service Engineer and am responsible for the acquisition of telemetry from our many test aircraft and even the space shuttle. In my off time I run my web design business and spend time with my family. My passion is creating art and function with computers, and I'm glad that VictorValley.biz has been a successful outlet for that energy.

I'm not sure if it's going to run in the family yet, but my wonderful daughter Ella has taken a liking to computers too. We will have to wait and see if VictorValley.biz will be multi-generational.
I know this biography really doesn't have much to do with website design, but I like to think that one of the benefits of working with local businesses is the personal relationships you can garner. I just thought it would be nice to get a head start, and perhaps give you an idea of who you are going to be working with.
